Before you reserve, please kindly note the following:

1. A small, homely building BUILDING STRUCTURE

This is a low-rise building with character, so you will use the stairs. Please take care on the steps if you have heavy luggage. As this is a charming low-rise building, movement between floors is by stairs only. Please enjoy the private and cozy atmosphere. Please be careful when carrying heavy luggage.

2. A wooden building, and sound TRADITIONAL STRUCTURE & SOUND

The building is a renovated traditional Japanese house. Being wooden, it is not highly soundproofed, and you may hear everyday sounds from the neighbourhood or passing sirens. Our ryokan is a renovated traditional wooden house. While warm and authentic, sound insulation is limited, and you may hear the "living sounds" of the neighborhood.

3. Simple check-in EASY CHECK-IN

Under Japanese law, guests of foreign nationality must present a passport. How you send it depends on the booking site. Once registered, we send an illustrated entry guide the day before arrival. Under Japanese law, all foreign guests are required to provide a copy of their passport. The submission method depends on the booking site. After registration, we will send you a "Photo Guide for Check-in" the day before your arrival.

4. How the property works ACCOMODATION STYLE

This is a mixed-gender property. Rooms are private, while toilets and showers are shared. Shower rooms are separate for men and women. This is a mixed-gender property. While you have a private lockable bedroom, the toilets and showers are shared. We provide separate dedicated shower rooms for men and women for your privacy and comfort.

5. Registered guests only NO UNREGISTERED GUESTS

To comply with Japanese law and keep every guest safe, anyone not on the guest register may not enter the building. Unauthorised entry incurs a penalty charge. The premises are monitored by security cameras. To comply with Japanese law and ensure the safety of all our guests, only registered guests are permitted inside the building. No outside visitors are allowed at any time. A penalty fee will be applied for any unauthorized entry. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our shared environment safe and secure. (Security cameras in operation.)
